Aerial Firefighting Underway as Wildfire Hits Western Türkiye

A forest fire has broken out near the Tabanlar neighborhood in the Soma district of Türkiye’s Manisa province. While the exact cause of the blaze remains undetermined, emergency response teams were quickly dispatched to the area. Strong regional winds have complicated ground efforts, prompting authorities to heavily prioritize aerial operations. Fleets of airplanes and helicopters are currently battling the flames from above as crews work continuously to bring the fire fully under control.
