Israeli forces demolished two homes, a water well, and a sheep pen belonging to a Palestinian family in the West Bank village of Arfa’iya, citing a lack of building permits. Homeowner Muhammad Al-Amour stated this is the fourth time the military has destroyed their property despite the family holding land deeds, asserting the clearances are intended to make way for Israeli settlements. Responding to the destruction, resident Aisha Al-Amour declared, “I want a tent to live in, and I will not leave my land. I was born here, I lived here, and I will die here.” The incident highlights an ongoing crisis, with a new United Nations report revealing that 5,900 Palestinians have been displaced from the West Bank amid more than 5,500 recorded settler attacks between January 2023 and April 2026.
