Bison Tosses Man in US National Park

A terrifying encounter at Yellowstone National Park in the US left an elderly man injured after an aggressive bison charged and tossed him nearly 2.5 meters into the air. Photographer Mike MacLeod, who witnessed the sudden attack, successfully distracted the lingering animal by running toward it, yelling loudly, and trying “to look as big and threatening as possible.” Stunned by the unexpected aggression, MacLeod noted that the harrowing incident “changed my mind about what to expect from these animals at this time of year.” Although the elderly victim experienced severe hip and leg pain from the heavy fall, bystanders reported no visible puncture wounds. The US National Park Service has not yet released an official statement regarding the attack.
