Heavy rainfall has triggered severe flooding across Texas, leaving two people dead and submerging numerous homes and highways. Texas Governor Greg Abbott confirmed the fatalities occurred when a mobile home and a car were swept away by surging floodwaters. Emergency response teams have already executed 230 rescue operations to save trapped residents, as Abbott warned the state could face “record” levels of rainfall in the coming days.
