US Says It Completes Ninth Wave of Strikes on Iran

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has concluded a ninth consecutive night of military strikes against Iran, carried out under orders from President Donald Trump. The operation was specifically designed to degrade Tehran’s capacity to threaten commercial shipping and civilian mariners navigating the Strait of Hormuz. According to CENTCOM, the strikes successfully “targeted Iranian military command centers, air defense and coastal surveillance facilities, naval elements, missile and drone launch sites, and communications networks.” Prior to the operation’s completion, Iranian media reported multiple explosions across the southwestern province of Khuzestan, particularly in the vital port cities of Mahshahr and Bandar Imam Khomeini.
