Provocation at Border Crossing by Greek Cypriots in Southern Cyprus

A group of Greek Cypriots gathered at the Ledra Palace border crossing in Southern Cyprus to protest the anniversary of the 1974 Cyprus Peace Operation. Waving Greek flags and singing their national anthem, the demonstrators staged a rally just as the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) was holding its own Peace and Freedom Day celebrations nearby.
