Arab Tourist Dies in Trabzon Stream

A foreign tourist lost his life after falling into the fast-flowing Haldizen Stream in Uzungöl, a popular tourist destination in Türkiye’s Trabzon province. Reports indicate the man lost his balance near a rocky area, struck his head, and was swiftly carried away by the strong current. A companion who jumped into the water to attempt a rescue was also caught in the heavy flow but was successfully pulled to safety by responding emergency crews. Medical personnel, disaster management units, and the local gendarmerie quickly secured the scene following the incident. The deceased man’s body has since been transported to the Forensic Medicine Institute for an official autopsy.
