The death toll from devastating floods triggered by a broken Himalayan glacier along the Nepal-China border has risen to 475. While military forces have successfully rescued 900 people, including 119 foreign nationals, from severely affected regions like Rasuwa and Nuwakot, search and rescue operations have now been suspended. The halt follows the overflow of a massive landslide-formed dam reservoir in neighboring Tibet, forcing authorities to freeze rescue efforts and install surveillance cameras to monitor the immediate danger.
