Death Toll Surpasses 1,000 in Nepal Glacier Floods

The death toll from catastrophic flooding in Nepal has reached 1,050 after a Himalayan glacier collapsed on August 26, causing the Bhotekoshi River to violently overflow. International rescue teams from Nepal, India, and China are urgently constructing temporary bridges and deploying heavy machinery to locate 4,247 missing individuals, including 583 foreigners.
