Pakistan Strikes Afghan Drone Facilities

Tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan have escalated after eight drones recently crossed the border into Pakistani airspace. In retaliation, Pakistani forces launched airstrikes against 10 locations in Afghanistan allegedly used to deploy and store the unmanned vehicles. Authorities reported that four drones were shot down near the Torkham border, while the remaining four were intercepted in the mountainous Kohat region. Condemning the “deliberate and illegal” airspace violations, Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar confirmed the retaliatory strikes, stating that the military successfully targeted sites “used for the launching and storage of drones.”
