Massive demonstrations swept through New York City as protesters marched toward the UN Headquarters ahead of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech. The crowds fiercely demanded an end to US military support and called for strict accountability regarding Israel’s genocidal actions in Gaza. Confrontations with local authorities led the New York Police Department to detain 103 individuals specifically for “disturbing public order”.
