Kyrgyzstan has officially inaugurated the 51,000-seat Bishkek Arena, the largest stadium in Central Asia, with a grand ceremony attended by President Sadyr Japarov and over 60,000 spectators. Designed to resemble a traditional Turkic tent, the massive venue previously hosted the opening ceremony of the 6th World Nomad Games. Addressing critics who argued funds should have gone toward industrial plants instead, President Japarov stated, “This stadium will generate as much revenue as medium or large-scale factories.” He highlighted broader national progress, attributing steady economic growth to aggressive anti-corruption measures alongside nationwide infrastructure development.
