On Monday, a moving green colored light beam was seen in the skies of Istanbul, Turkey, at around 11:30 PM local time. Later on it was determined that the light beam was a meteorite that falling from the sky. The falling meteorite was recorded by the dash camera of a moving vehicle in the city. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle was surprised after noticing the situation.
The 23rd Turkish Festival in Washington, D.C., drew large crowds of Americans and Turkish citizens, showcasing Turkish cuisine, art, and folk performances. Visitors enjoyed dishes like döner, baklava, and Turkish coffee while folk dance groups from Türkiye and Central Asia captivated the audience. Organizers said the event, supported by Turkish-American associations, strengthened cultural ties and promoted Turkish heritage in the U.S.
