Iran unveils its new long-range missile “Kheibar Shekan”

On Wednesday, Iran unveiled its new long-range missile that added to the military inventory of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as the country enters the final stage in the continuing negotiations in Vienna for returning to the nuclear deal. Iran introduced its new long-range missile named “Kheibar Shekan” with a ceremony held in Iran’s capital city of Tehran. Iran Armed Forces Chief of Staff Major General Mohammad Bagheri and Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh attended the introductory ceremony. During the ceremony, it was announced that the new missile is using solid fuel and has high maneuverability with a range of 1.450 kilometers.

On the other hand, it was stated that the last phase of the 8th round was entered in the negotiations to return to the 2015 nuclear deal “Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)”. The negotiations were started between Iran and France, Russia, China, England and Germany on December 27 2021 in Austria’s capital city of Vienna.
