Eight people have been rescued and 21 still trapped after a coal mine was flooded Saturday in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The accident occurred when 29 workers were upgrading the coal mine. Rescue work is currently underway.
The death toll from Russia’s overnight missile and UAV attacks on Kyiv has risen to six, Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed. Thirty-five people were injured as Russian forces targeted energy sites, civilian infrastructure, and residential areas.
