Turkish NGOs send humanitarian aid to Ukraine

Following Russia’s military intervention in Ukraine, philanthropists in Turkey collected aid materials to be sent to the war zone. The aid collected at the Ukrainian embassies was packed by a Ukraine-based logistics company and set out for Ukraine. Medical supplies, dry food, clothes, blankets, tents, and diapers are among the items found in aid trucks whose routes are not disclosed for security reasons. In total, 6 trucks and 120 tons of humanitarian aid set out for the war zone.

Inna Harasymenko, one of the responsibles of the logistics company, said, “Today we want to call out to the world, unfortunately there is a war in our country and our family is in a very bad situation in Ukraine right now, they cannot leave the region. The Turkish people are helping a lot. Businessmen, employees, everyone helps, and some of them try to support them morally. From the very first moment of the war, Turkey helped us in every way. Thank you very much for helping the children. We ask everyone to pray for us, we do not want to lose our lands,” she said. “Aid includes boots, medicine, water, diapers, food, blankets, beds, medicine for the wounded, dry food. Turkish people send everything they can,” she added.
