The Russian army bombed the suburbs of Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital. It was claimed that the Russian army had hit a fuel tank. The number of people killed or injured as a result of the attacks has yet to be determined.

Countries in the Ukraine Defense Contact Group have committed over €21 billion in new military aid, British Defense Secretary John Healey announced after a meeting in Brussels co-chaired by Germany and the UK. The UK pledged a record £4.5 billion for 2024, including drones and anti-tank mines. Germany pledged €11 billion through 2029, with plans to deliver air defense systems, tanks, and ammunition. Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov thanked allies and stressed the importance of continued support against Russia’s increasing drone attacks.
