Many civilians were discovered dead in the Ukrainian city of Bucha, where the Russian army had withdrawn. Today, the bodies of 65 more civilians were discovered after teams searched all of the city’s streets and houses one by one. The bodies discovered were taken to the cemetery and recorded after examinations and identification.
Countries in the Ukraine Defense Contact Group have committed over €21 billion in new military aid, British Defense Secretary John Healey announced after a meeting in Brussels co-chaired by Germany and the UK. The UK pledged a record £4.5 billion for 2024, including drones and anti-tank mines. Germany pledged €11 billion through 2029, with plans to deliver air defense systems, tanks, and ammunition. Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov thanked allies and stressed the importance of continued support against Russia’s increasing drone attacks.
