The people in France went to the polls to vote in the second round of the presidential election that the current President Emmanuel Macron and the far-right candidate Marine Le Pen are competing. 48.7 million voters will vote to determine the new president who will serve for 5 years in the approximately 67 million populated country. The voting process started at 08:00 am local time and will end at 07:00 pm. But in some cities, the voting process will last until 08:00 pm in local time.
On the other hand according to the surveys, the current President Macron, who received 27.6 percent of the votes in the first round, is expected to be re-elected president by receiving 55.5 percent of the votes in the second round.
