Ukrainian city of Mariupol’s Mayor Adviser Petro Andriushchenko stated that the Russian army’s airstrikes continues on the Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol. Also, the Ukrainian Presidency of General Staff announced that Russian forces intercepted Ukrainian troops near Azovstal, and they continued their artillery and airstrikes on Mariupol.

“Russian forces are using strategic aviation to maintain full control over the city and suppress the resistance of the Ukrainian soldiers. Attacks are expected to increase in the near future, given the evacuation of local residents,” Presidency of General Staff said.
