Cyclone Yakecan batters southern Brazil

Tropical cyclone “Yakecan” hit the state of Rio Grande do Sul in southern Brazil. Trees fell on power lines with the severity of the hurricane. Authorities announced that 182 thousand homes experienced power outages. Weather experts have warned that the tropical hurricane will be effective in the region by Thursday.
