A tunnel under construction on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway located at Kashmir, India has collapsed. After the workers were trapped in the tunnel, many first aid and search and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene. During the ongoing search efforts in the scene, the lifeless body of a person trapped in the tunnel was found. India Disaster Management official Aamir Ali stated that 3 workers were rescued and hospitalized at the tunnel entrance, and that the collapse occurred in the ventilation section of the tunnel while construction equipment was being brought to the main tunnel.
China has imposed a 34% customs duty on all US goods in response to the same rate announced by US President Donald Trump. The move includes trade restrictions on rare earth exports critical to tech and defense industries and the suspension of chicken imports from two US firms.
China also blacklisted 11 American companies, including major defense and tech firms, banning them from trade with Chinese entities. Additionally, China filed a complaint at the World Trade Organization, calling the US tariffs a violation of global trade rules and an act of “unilateral bullying.”
