Colonel Hassan Sayad Khodayari, a commander of the Revolutionary Guards Army in Tehran, Iran’s capital, was killed in an armed attack near his home. The Revolutionary Guards Army announced in a statement that the assassination was carried out by two attackers on motorcycles, and that Khodayari died after five shots fired at him while he was inside his vehicle. Khodayari was fighting in Syria’s civil war.
