Kirkuk Health Department General Manager Nebil Hamdi Bosniak warned the people of the region not to go out except for mandatory situations due to the sandstorm, and recommended wearing a mask. The Ministry of Health has instructed the health workers to make all kinds of preparations against the sandstorm, Bosniak added.
While all flights in Iraq were canceled due to the sandstorm, the country declared a public holiday.
