1 died, 35 injured after a storm hit France

The severe storm that hit France on June 4 had a negative impact on life. The Enedis company that responsible for the electricity distribution network in France, announced that 12 thousand lightning struck the country due to the storm and 15 thousand households were left without electricity. French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin announced that 35 people have been injured so far due to the storm, and a 30-year-old woman lost her life in French city of Rouen due to flooding. Minister Darmanin also stated that the life-threatening danger of a 13-year-old girl after being struck by lightning continues. Darmanin said the storm, which affected 65 regions in the country, was “on an unprecedented level for 20 years”. It has been learned that Darmanin will propose natural disaster recognition to French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne. In this way, the financial losses of the victims can be covered by the insurance.
