The Turkish Ministry of National Defense announced on its official social media account that 6 PKK terrorists were neutralized in the Operation Claw-Lock region in North of Iraq. “We continue to strike the terrorists in the North of Iraq in their caves. 6 PKK terrorists detected in the Operation Claw-Lock region were neutralized by the Turkish Armed Forces. Our operations continue with determination,” Ministry of National Defense said in their statement.
On the final day of the Eid al-Adha holiday, traffic came to a standstill at the Kocaeli crossing of the Northern Marmara Highway as thousands began returning to Istanbul.
Congestion intensified due to occasional accidents and vehicle breakdowns. Gendarmerie and highway crews are working continuously to keep traffic flowing. Aerial footage showed long lines of vehicles stretching along the route.
