A 3-year-old boy was rescued after being trapped in a house fire in the US state of Wisconsin by police and firefighters. The boy’s room window was broken, and a firefighter who entered the smoke-filled house was able to save him. One of the officers removed the unconscious boy from the window and transported him to the ambulance. The child, who was taken to the hospital, was reported to be in good health. The child’s mother and grandmother, who were at home at the time of the fire, were also hospitalized with second and third degree burns, according to reports.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
