A Viva Aerobus Airlines’ plane made an emergency landing in Mexico during a domestic flight after one of the passengers attempted to commit suicide in the plane lavatory. According to the Mexican Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC), the 40-year-old male passenger had a nervous breakdown and injured himself. Noticing the incident, the pilot made an emergency landing at Hermosillo International Airport to treat the injured passenger. The passenger was taken to the hospital with the help of plane’s medical crew.
The man allegedly smashed his mobile phone and injured himself with its sharp pieces, witnesses said.
