Two people were injured in an explosion at a natural gas pipeline owned by state oil company Pemex in the city of Chacaltianguis in the Mexican state of Veracruz. The injured were taken to hospital. 800 people living in the area close to the natural gas pipeline were evacuated for safety reasons. Temporary shelters have been set up for the evacuees, a local official said.
The fire was caused by a leak in the pipeline, according to reports.
