More than 1.6 tons of cocaine loaded from Colombia and headed for the US city of Los Angeles were seized in Mexico City, authorities stated. According to reports, the cocaine was loaded into one-pound packages in Colombia with some of it destined for Mexico City and the rest for Los Angeles, California, in the United States.
The operation, which involved more than 80 security guards, was resulted in the detention of 4 Mexican citizens. Three of the suspects were reported having prior criminal histories.
