The Moscow Zoo celebrated the birthdays of two giant pandas, Ding Ding and Ru Yi, on Sunday in Moscow, Russia’s capital. They made a bamboo cake with the number “5” and a large figure of a horse out of boxes for Ding Ding. As a gift, Ru Yi received a bamboo cake with the number “6” and a wooden swing in the shape of a dragon. A festive program was also held at the zoo on the same day. People enjoyed a show of traditional Chinese dragon and lion dances.
The pair arrived in Moscow in 2019 from Sichuan, China’s southwestern province, for a 15-year joint research program.
