An eruption occurred in Popocatepetl Volcano last night, according to the statement made by the Mexican Authorities. The lava and ashes that came out of the mouth of the volcano due to the eruption reached a height of 3,000 meters. In the daily activity report published by Mexico’s National Center for Disaster Prevention (CENAPRED), it was stated that 2 small-scale earthquakes and 41 gas emissions were recorded.
Local authorities warned people against mudflow that may occur with ash fall and rain.
