Multinational “Noble Partner 2022” military exercise in Georgia ends

NATO’s “Noble Partner 2022” multinational military exercise, held at Vaziani military base near Georgia’s capital, Tbilisi, ended with an official ceremony. A demonstration was held at the end of the military exercise, in which more than 2,400 military personnel participated. Georgian state officials, US Army V Corps Deputy Commander Major General Jeffrey Broadwater, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Tbilisi Faik Guliyev, diplomats and other officials attended the ceremony.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili stated that the training was completed successfully and said, “We are proud to host this exercise in Georgia for the sixth time. This is the next consistent step towards deepening our international cooperation, the professionalism of our proud army and cooperation with NATO. I would like to thank all participating countries, including representatives of Japan and Sweden, who participated in the exercise for the first time, and all military personnel who participated in this exercise,” he said.

Palestinians celebrated the ceasefire agreement reached between Israel and Hamas after indirect talks in Egypt, marking the first step of a broader peace plan involving hostage exchanges and Israeli troop withdrawals. Crowds, including children displaced by Israeli attacks, gathered around Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Hospital to celebrate the end of the fighting. Residents in Maghazi Refugee Camp expressed hopes for rebuilding Gaza and establishing a Palestinian state. “Thank God, the war is over. Our homes were destroyed, and our children killed. We thank everyone who helped end this war,” said Yasser Abu Hein. Others shared optimism that Gaza would “return better than before.”

Israel confirmed that the ceasefire would begin following a cabinet vote later in the day.
