A bank in Georgia was attacked by an armed hostile at 11:00 local time. It is estimated that the hostile is carrying explosives. Having been surrendered by police teams, the robber demanded 2 million dollars in cash, a bus, a helicopter, and a Russian flag. The attacker conveyed his demands over a stream of a TV channel and a hostage’s social media.
The attacker’s rubbery attempt was described as a terror attack by Georgia’s Ministry of Interior. Police forces are striving to have the hostages released quickly and safely.
In October 2022, the Zugdidi branch of the same bank was attacked by another hostile who took 43 hostages and demanded half a million dollars in return. The robber has not been busted yet.
