European Political Community summit holds in Prague

The European Political Community Summit, led by French President Emmanuel Macron, brings together the leaders of 44 EU and non-EU countries in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. Turkey, Albania, England, Serbia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Iceland, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia and Switzerland are among the non-EU countries at the summit to be held at the historic Prague Castle.

In the first meeting of the formation, which is a dialogue and cooperation platform, which includes non-EU countries, the challenges that Europe is currently facing in terms of peace, security, energy, climate and economic situation will be discussed. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will also address the participants via videoconference from Kyiv. Leaders will also hold talks between sessions.

Budapest Hosts Turkic States Summit

Budapest is set to host the Organization of Turkic States (TDT) Informal Summit on May 20–21, marking the first time a country with observer status, Hungary, will host the event. The city has been decorated with TDT flags ahead of the summit, which will take place at the historic Varkert Bazar near the Danube.

Leaders from Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Hungary are expected to attend. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will also hold bilateral talks during his visit.

The summit will focus on deepening strategic cooperation among Turkic states, with discussions on economic ties, security, and cultural heritage. The event will conclude with the adoption of the Budapest Declaration.
