Just stop oil stages another protest in front of Aston Martin showroom in London

The environmentalist group “Just Stop Oil” gathered in front of the luxury car manufacturer Aston Martin’s showroom in London, UK to stage another protest against the petrol and gas related policies of the government. Demanding the cancellation of the new petrol and gas licenses, the group painted the showroom’s walls and windows with orange spray paint. The road was also closed to traffic.

“The climate crisis is a product of greed, just as the cost of living crisis is a product of greed,” one protester said in a statement “and I will not comply with a system that puts profits before the people and the planet” they added.

In response to the British Home Secretary Suella Braverman’s announcement that she plans to prevent such environmental protests under the Public Order Act, the group said that they will not give up on precautionary measures aimed at silencing the protest and underlined that they are a non-violent civic movement.

“This is not a one day event, this is an act of resistance against a criminal government and their genocidal death project. Our supporters will be returning – today, tomorrow and the next day – and the next day after that – and every day until our demand is met: no new oil and gas in the UK.” previously stated the group.

Students Block Serbian State TV in Ongoing Protests

0

Student-led protesters in Serbia have blockaded state broadcasters RTS and RTV, demanding management overhaul or complete shutdown due to alleged biased reporting. Tents were set up outside buildings in Belgrade and Novi Sad, blocking entry and disrupting broadcasts. RTS called the blockade illegal, while RTV’s head labeled it “terrorism.”

The protests follow a deadly building collapse in Novi Sad that killed 15 people in November 2024. Despite government reshuffles and resignations, demonstrations persist. President Aleksandar Vucic dismissed the unrest as a failed “color revolution.”
