A traditional handicrafts exhibition was held in Tunisia to promote the Tunisian culture and the growth of the local traditional handicraft sector. Works such as clothing, jewellery, home furnishings and handcrafted food and skincare products was demonstrated in the event.
The handicraft industry is highly essential for Tunisia’s tourism and employment as the 11 percent of the country’s workforce is engaged in this sector.
