India is grappling with air pollution from stubble burning and vehicle emissions. The air quality index (AQI) in 12 cities in the country surpassed 400, making it “dangerous.” Primary schools in Delhi have been closed today because the air quality index exceeds 470. At a press conference, Delhi Prime Minister Arvind Kejriwal stated that the recent drop in air quality was caused by excessive stubble burning. Politics should not be played on such a sensitive issue, according to him.
