During their visit to the city of York in United Kingdom, King Charles III and his wife, Queen Camilla were attacked by a person who threw eggs at them. Luckily, the eggs did not hit the King and Queen and the person who carried out the attack was taken into custody.
According to the witnesses, while the suspect shouted, “this country was built on the blood of slaves” and “not my king”, the crowd who came to see the King responded with slogans, “God save the king” and “shame on you”.
During their visit, King Charles and Camilla will visit the York cathedral in the city and unveil the statue of Queen Elizabeth II.
