A Burmese python, one of the largest snake species in the world, was caught in the Everglades National Park in Florida, USA. The 5.5-metre-long Burmese python, which is an invasive species, was euthanized in accordance with the state laws. After the snake was put to sleep, a 1.5-meter-long alligator was found in the stomach of the giant python.
Geoscientist Rosie Moore shared the moments when the alligator was meticulously pulled out of the python on her social media account.
The alligator was sent to a laboratory for research.
