The Philippines Volcano and Seismology Institute has raised the alert level for Taal Volcano to 3 which locates 70 kilometers south of the capital city of Manila. The Institute stated that the active volcano spews steam and particles to 1-kilometer high and recommended the evacuation of the surrounding villages due to possible volcanic eruption and volcanic tsunami hazards.
