As part of the prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine, the Russian side released 35 Ukrainian soldiers, 1 of which was civilian, and the Ukrainian side released 35 Russian soldiers. The Russian Ministry of Defense said, “The planes of the Russian Aerospace Forces will send the released Russian soldiers to Moscow for treatment and rehabilitation. Necessary medical and economic support will be provided to all released soldiers.”
Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, shared the footage showing moment of exchange, and said, “Among the survivors are those who have been held captive at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant since the first day of the war, and the soldiers in Azovstal and Maripol.”
