The hexagonal prism shaped Boyabat Basalt Rocks Natural Monument of Turkiye, which is estimated to be five million years old and seen as one of the rare geological formations in the world, will be opened to tourism within the scope of a development plan.
The 40 meters high columnar rocks, located in the Kurusaray village area of the Boyabat district of Sinop in Turkey, resemble a bee honeycomb when viewed from above, and appear as a pile of prism-bodied block stones lined up side by side when viewed from above.
