Airline worker crushes by truck at US Atlanta Airport

On December 10, a Delta Airlines ground worker named Camdyn Davis was crushed by a fast-moving truck while guiding an airline Boeing 717 plane on the apron of Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in Atlanta, USA. Camdyn Davis’ mother stated that her daughter suffered a concussion as a result of the accident and that it would take her a long time to recover from her injuries. A social media fundraising campaign was launched for her medical treatment.

Delta Airlines issued a statement following the incident and said that the injured employee was being treated at a hospital and that her life was not in danger.

US Flag Raised Again at Embassy in Damascus After 12 Year

The US flag has been hoisted once more at the US Embassy in Damascus, Syria, for the first time since its closure in 2012.

US Special Representative for Syria Thomas Barrack made his first official visit to Damascus and personally raised the flag during a ceremony attended by Syrian Foreign Minister Assad Hassan Shaybani. The embassy had suspended operations amid the outbreak of civil conflict following anti-government protests.

No official statement has been issued regarding the resumption of embassy operations.

The move follows a surprise meeting earlier this month between US President Donald Trump and Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara in Riyadh, where a decision was made to lift sanctions imposed during the Assad era, signaling a potential shift in Washington-Damascus relations.
