In Tunisia, people gathered in front of the parliament building to prostest after Tunisian President Kais Saied dismisses the country’s Prime Minister Hisham Al-Mashishi, and suspends the parliament. Hundreds of protesters waved posters criticizing what they call a coup d’etat.
Rached Ghannouchi, speaker of the Tunisian Parliament and leader of the Ennahda Movement, described Saied’s decision as a coup against the constitution.
