5 missing as explosion at industrial site shakes german city Leverkusen

In Leverkusen, Germany, an explosion occurred in the industrial site where the pharmaceutical company Bayer’s factory is located. A black smoke plume rising from the fire filled the sky, and Germany’s Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance called on residents to stay indoors as the explosion poses danger. Five workers are missing and 2 people are seriously injured. The cause of the explosion is not yet known.
