In Greece, hundreds of people gathered in Syntagma Square in the capital Athens to protests against government due to inability of the government to fight wildfires in the country. Protesters said they would hold larger demonstrations to remind the responsibility of the government to tackle the fires.
In his address to the nation, the Greek PM Mitsotakis had apologized on Monday to the public for any failure in the fight against the ongoing fires across Greece, and promised that mistakes would be identified and rectified.
