Polish Officials Express Condolences at Turkish Embassy in Warsaw

Polish officials and citizens signed a condolence book opened at the Turkish Embassy in Warsaw in response to the recent earthquake in Türkiye. The epicenter of the quake was in Kahramanmaraş, and condolence books have also been opened at Turkish missions abroad. Flowers and candles have been left in memory of those who lost their lives.

The Polish government was represented by top officials, including the Head of the Presidential Foreign Policy Bureau, State Secretary Marcin Przydacz, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Arkadiusz Mularczyk. They signed the book on behalf of the country.

Türkiye’s Ambassador to Warsaw, Cengiz Kamil Fırat, expressed gratitude for the support and aid from the Polish government, including the HUSAR rescue team that was sent to Türkiye. The ambassador also informed the Polish officials that the earthquakes were of unprecedented scale and aftershocks are expected to continue for another year.

“We are grateful for being with Türkiye” Fırat said, while the authorities were informed about the list of urgent needs and it was agreed to cooperate in meeting these needs.
