Broken fault line in Gaziantep caused 2-meter collapse

In the earthquakes of 7.7 and 7.6 magnitudes centered in Kahramanmaraş, Türkiye, the 12-kilometer fault line passing through the İslahiye district of Gaziantep was broken. The fault line, which started in the Fevzipaşa neighborhood, caused a crack that reached from the garden of Islahiye State Hospital to the farmlands. Tons of concrete floor blocks in the hospital garden were broken, and a 2-meter collapse occurred on the land next to the hospital. While the retaining walls were destroyed, the trees were uprooted and toppled.
