312 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines administered in 115 countries

More than 117 million people have been fighting with Covid-19 as the biggest vaccination campaign is underway. At least 312 million doses have been administered across 115 countries and the latest rate was average 8.08 million doses per day. The countries where the most vaccines were made is the U.S, China and European Union.
In U.S., 92.1 million doses have been given so far. In the last week, an average of 2.17 million doses per day were administered. In China 52.5 million doses and more than 41 million doses were given. The Pfizer and Biontech vaccine which is approved for use in North America, Europe and the Middle East, is one of the most hopeful vaccine with 95 percent efficiency. Also the vaccine of Moderna is nearly 95 percent effective, AstraZeneca and Oxford University Covid-19 vaccine is 70 percent effective, Sinovac-Biotech is 50 percent, Gamelya’s Sputnik V vaccine is 92 percent, and Sinopharm’s vaccine is 79 percent effective.

Over 9,000 Children Affected By School Meal Poisoning In Indonesia

The Food and Drug Administration reported 103 food poisoning incidents in schools between January and September, sickening 9,089 children in Indonesia.

Officials said the cases stemmed from poorly managed kitchens, delayed meal distribution, and improper storage. Health groups urged suspension of President Prabowo Subianto’s $10 billion free school meals program, but he defended it, calling the percentage of cases small.
